Your Participation Makes a Difference!

Nearly 200 people gathered at the Kathryn Linnemann library on Saturday, September 10th for an intimate evening of art, wine,
food and fun in support of the St. Charles City-County Library Foundation.  This was the Foundation's third year hosting Art

Uncorked: An Evening of Grape Expectations which raised nearly $8,000 for special programs for young children and homebound
senior
citizens. Your support makes a difference for parents of pre-readers and our elderly friends, neighbors and family
members who can no longer access library resources on their own.  VIP guests joined Judy Blanton for an early reception and
her excellent presentation titled "Stories Untold". Talented artists shared their works, Stone Hill Winery, Rolling Meadows
Vineyards and PRP Wines International
sampled a variety of wines that tantalized our taste buds and The Blanchette
Trio brought the library to life with spectacular
music. The evening culminated with  the highly anticipated "UNCORKED" raffle
with Kris Weidenbenner taking home the $1500 grand prize! Other raffle winners included
Kathy Wipert who won $500 and John Stadsvold recieved the wine basket.

Thanks to everyone who supported Art Uncorked!  Your participation in our events helps the Library
Foundation fulfill its mission to ensure excellent library programs, services and facilities for all
people by developing and encouraging community investment and participation, today and tomorrow.

Thanks to our sponsors and community partners for making Art Uncorked possible.
